BASEDPolitics is run by Hannah Cox and Rachel Reid, who've spent their careers thinking about the same problem. New media is reshaping public policy, but why are so few people actually using it well?
Hannah and Rachel noticed think tanks and policy organizations with good ideas often have almost no ability to get them in front of real people.
Meanwhile, the internet is filled with political rage bait, misinformation, and political parties making promises they won't keep.
The loudest voices in politics today usually aren't the most informed ones. They're just the ones who understood the platforms first.
BASED Politics exists to close that gap. We train people who already understand public policy, like staffers, analysts, advocates, and subject-matter experts on how to communicate their ideas online.Â

The future of political media can't be about propping up political parties or institutions. What we need are individuals who are positioned to move the needle online, so we're developing and training a new generation of voices through our online courses.
Political organizations can no longer rely on traditional think tanks, press releases, or beltway media alone. Winning in the modern era requires storytellers who understand new media, digital persuasion, and cultural influence.
Vision
Political discourse has become louder, angrier, and less substantive than ever. BASEDPolitics exists to reverse that. We train communicators who can cut through extremism and outrage with policy solutions, delivered in a way that actually reaches people. Our goal isn't to win the next viral moment. It's to rebuild a public conversation about issues, rooted in facts and good-faith argument, that can move real solutions forward.
